Federal agents arrest more than 30 Medicare-fraud suspects in Miami

Federal agents Thursday morning arrested more than 30 suspects charged with Medicare fraud as part of a nationwide take-down described by authorities as the largest in U.S. history.

The Miami arrests coincided with others in other healthcare fraud hotbeds such as New York, Los Angeles and Detroit, where dozens of others were being rounded up.

The Miami indictments charge the defendants with a variety of healthcare schemes, including physical therapy, mental health and home healthcare.
