This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, southeast Baghdad at 8 a.m. Thursday, injuring two.

A roadside bomb detonated in Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, southeast Baghdad at a few minutes after 8 a.m. Thursday, injuring two civilians and one policeman.

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car detonated at around 9 a.m. Thursday in Uqba bin Nafi' Square, Karrada neighbourhood, central Baghdad, seriously injuring the driver.

Two roadside bombs within seconds of each other targeted a police patrol in Saidiyah neighbourhood, south Baghdad, at 7 p.m. Thursday, injuring five policemen and five civilians. Many of the injuries were serious, said security officials.

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, southeast Baghdad, at 10 p.m. Thursday, injuring four.

Basra

A roadside bomb targeted a foreign private security company motorcade in the north of Basra city, Thursday, killing one security guard and injuring two others, all Iraqis.
