Siemens to open wind turbine plant in Kansas

The Wichita EagleNovember 4, 2010

Siemens is opening its wind turbine nacelle plant in Hutchinson on Dec. 3.

The 300,000-square-foot wind turbine nacelle marks the company's the next step in its plan to further invest in the U.S. wind energy market, one of the most important wind energy markets in the world.

It will employ about 400 and may spur a good deal of business for subcontractors in Kansas.
