The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- A mortar shell slammed into a family house in Sheokh Omar neighborhood around 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

- A roadside bomb targeted civilians near Khilani Sq. around 6:30 a.m. Three civilians were injured.

- A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Mansour neighborhood around 6:30 a.m. Five civilians were injured.

- A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Nisour Sq. around 7:15 a.m. Four civilians were injured in the attack.
