A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Palestine Street, at 8 a.m. Sunday, injuring three.

Men in a speeding car, armed with pistols fitted with silencers, shot and killed an employee in the culture ministry, in Jami'a neighbourhood, west Baghdad, Sunday.

Men in a speeding car, armed with pistols fitted with silencers shot and killed an employee in the Integrity Commission at 8 a.m. Sunday, on the airport road.

Aroadside bomb targeted a car carrying Saeed Ni'ma, office manager of former national security advisor Muwafaq al Rubaei in Sadoun Street petrol station, central Baghdad, Sunday. Ni'ma got away with minor injuries. The explosion also blew up a nearby minibus, injuring five civilians.

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Mansour neighbourhood, at 1 p.m. Sunday, injuring three.

Two Katyusha rockets slammed into the Green Zone, Sunday. No casualties were reported.

Anbar

A suicide bomber driving a car bomb targeted the motorcade of chief of police of Halabsa area, Lieut. Col. Salam al Halbusi, in Garma, 15 km to the north of Fallujah, Sunday, Killing al Halbusi and seriously injuring three of his security guards, one policeman and one civilian. This was the fifth attempt on his life.

Nineveh

A taxi driver who works the Baghdad – Mosul route was killed by armed man in front of his house in Amil neighbourhood, west Mosul, Saturday.

A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Zinjilly neighbourhood, west Mosul, Saturday, injuring four civilians.

Armed men stormed a house in Risala neighbourhood, west Mosul, and killed the father, a daily labourer, in full view of his family.
