The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Five people including a policeman were wounded when a roadside bomb detonated targeting police forces in east Baghdad around 8 a.m.

- Four daily cleaning workers were wounded when a roadside bomb detonated in altayaran square in downtown Baghdad around 9 a.m.

Nainawa

- Four national police members were killed, 17 others and two civilians were wounded when three roadside bombs detonated in New Mosul area in west Mosul north of Baghdad around 2 p.m.

Babil

- Three people were killed and 40 others were wounded when three roadside bomb detonated in a commercial street in alHamza town in south Hilla city south of Baghdad around 8:30 p.m.
