A Jet Blue airplane blew two tires today while making a hard landing at Sacramento International Airport, forcing the evacuation of 92 passengers and crew via inflatable slides.

"It was a big thump," passenger Jackie Payne said in a cell phone call from the tarmac.

Airport spokeswoman Gina Swankie said that the inbound flight from Long Beach blew two tires.

Flight 262 scheduled to arrive at 12:37 p.m. carried 87 passengers and five crew members. Fifteen people suffered minor injuries, Swankie said.

The passengers were then loaded on buses and waited on the tarmac to go to a terminal. Swankie could not confirm reports that a fire was also reported on the plane.
