The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A suicide bomber detonated his vest bomb in middle of a gathering of Sahwa members, A U.S. backed Sunni militia formed in 2006, to receive their salaries in Radhwaniya area in south west Baghdad around 8:30 a.m. The attack resulted in killing 43 members of the militia and injuring 40 others.

A sticky bomb stuck to a civilian car exploded in a busy intersection in Ur neighborhood killing the driver and injuring three were near by the site of the explosion.

A roadside bomb explosion targeted civilians in Al Mansour neighborhood injured two civilians around 9:30 p.m.

A roadside bomb targeted the convoy of Amir Kathim, a leading member of Sahwa, in Abu Ghraib yesterday. Kathim was killed.

Al Anbar

A suicide bomber wearing a vest bomb targeted a Sahwa office in Al Qaem city around 9 a.m. The attack resulted in killing three members of the militia and injuring one member and injuring five civilians.
