Beachside communities and environmentalists have planned a statewide protest against offshore oil-drilling on Saturday.

``Hands Across the Sand'' calls for participants to show up dressed in black, the color of an oil spill, and hold hands for 10 minutes as a symbol of concern about opening more of the state's coastline to oil exploration.
