KANSAS CITY — North Kansas City Police arrested two suspects late Tuesday in the theft of Haitian earthquake donations from an area restaurant last month.

They were arrested in a North Kansas City home around 10 p.m., according to Liberty police dispatchers.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Scott D. Case and Jessica B. McGannon, authorities said. Police believe both have lived in Liberty in the past, but not currently.

Several members of the public helped the police identify the two individuals, said Sgt. Matt Kellogg of the Liberty police.

A surveillance tape depicted a man and woman apparently stealing a donation jar on Jan. 28 from the counter at the Culver’s restaurant at 1905 W. Kansas Ave. in Liberty.
