Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Friday December 11, 2009

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.


- A roadside bomb exploded in central Yousifiyah town, south of Baghdad. After the explosion police and army units responded and as their vehicles approaching the site, a parked car bomb detonated killing two policemen and four civilians and injuring two policemen and two soldiers and 17 civilians 5 p.m.

- A magnetic bomb stuck to the car of a police captain exploded in Zayuna neighborhood causing severe injuries to the captain around 6 p.m.
