Baghdad

Gunmen opened fire killing a policeman and his brother in Shaab neighborhood in north Baghdad on Friday evening.

Gunmen tried to assassinate Brigadier General Wathah Nasrat, the director of the Economical Crimes Department while he was driving his car above Jadiriyah Bridge in Karrada neighborhood on Friday evening. Nasrat was injured seriously and taken to the hospital.

Two policemen were injured when a roadside bomb detonated targeting their vehicle in Karrada neighborhood in downtown Baghdad around 10 a.m.
