The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Iskan neighbourhood in central Baghdad, Thursday, injuring two.

A roadside bomb went off in Khadhraa neighbourhood, western Baghdad, Thursday, injuring two policemen and one civilian.

Kirkuk

The chief of police of Rahimawa neighbourhood in central Kirkuk, Brig. Gen. Adnan Khairu, survived an assassination attempt when a roadside bomb targeted his car near the Fourth Bridge in the centre of the city, Wednesday. The car was destroyed.

Nineveh

A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Rajm Hadeed, western Mosul, Thursday, killing an officer and injuring three policemen.

Anbar

A magnetic bomb stuck to the car of an officer in the investigations department of the city of Ramadi detonated in central Ramadi at 8.30 p.m. Thursday, killing the officer. People ran to the site of the explosion to give what assistance they may when another bomb exploded killing two civilians and injuring six including civilians and policemen.
