Never miss a McClatchy story

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- 132 people and 520 others were injured in Baghdad as two suicide bombers detonated their car bombs targeting government offices in central Baghdad. The first attack targeted two ministries facing each other in Haifa Street, the ministry of justice and ministry of municipalities and public works, around 10:30 a.m. One minute later another car bomb exploded not far away targeting the building that houses Baghdad’s governor and Baghdad provincial council. The attacks resulted in causing severe damages to the three buildings and other adjacent buildings and damaging 156 vehicles.
