The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.


A magnetic bomb stuck to a civilian pick-up truck targeted civilians near the royal cemetery in Adhamiyah, northern Baghdad at 5 p.m. Saturday injuring one civilian.

A magnetic bomb stuck to a civilian car targeted an army checkpoint in Omar bin Abdulaziz Street, Adhamiyah in northern Baghdad at 6.30 p.m. Saturday, injuring tree civilians and two servicemen.


A roadside bob targeted civilians in al Ihaimir neighbourhood in central Baquba at 8 a.m. Saturday injuring one woman.

A magnetic bomb stuck to a civilian car went off at 10 a.m. Saturday in central Baquba killing the driver.


Turkish bombardment targeted the border strip in Erbil without causing any casualties. The bombardment started at 1 p.m. Friday and continued late into the night, said Kurd military authorities.
