The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.


One civilian was killed when a bomb detonated near a fuel station in Falaht area to the west of Fallujah around 11 a.m.


Three Iraqi soldiers were injured by a roadside bomb that targeted their vehicle in Buhruz area south of Baquba around 10 a.m.


Gunmen driving a speeding car killed a merchant while he was leaving the mosque after doing Friday prayers in Muthanna area in east Mosul. The merchant received threats by phone few days ago.

Three policemen were wounded when two mortar shells hit Um Alrabiain police headquarters in west Mosul on Friday evening.
