Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Saturday 25 July 2009

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 9 a.m. a sticky bomb attached to a civilian car exploded killing the owner, Qahtan Ahmed, and injured his son in Adhemiyah neighborhood.

Anbar

- Two parked car bombs exploded in Fallujah one in central Fallujah near the headquarter of the Sunni Islamic party and ten minutes later another car bomb exploded in west Fallujah. Three people were killed and 27 others were injured.

Kirkuk

- A roadside bomb targets a police patrol in central Kirkuk city. Four policemen were injured.
