A roadside bomb targeted pilgrims in Talayi Square, Haifa Street, central Baghdad at 7.30 a.m. Thursday wounding eight pilgrims. Pilgrims are flooding Baghdad from all over the country, on foot, to visit the shrine of Imam Musa al Kathim in Kathimiyah neighbourhood, northeastern Baghdad to commemorate The Imam's martyrdom during the coming days.


An Iraqi Emergency Force killed a policeman while attempting to detain him in in his home in Garma neighbourhood, 20 km to the north of Fallujah, Thursday morning.

The Iraqi security forces shot dead a suicide bomber driving a car bomb in Halabsa intersection in western Fallujah, Thursday. The car bomb was later detonated under control.
