The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

An Iraqi soldier was killed and ten people including two Iraqi soldiers were wounded by a roadside bomb in Abu Nowas Street in downtown Baghdad around 8 a.m.

Two civilians were wounded by a roadside bomb in Waziriyah neighborhood in north Baghdad around 12 p.m.

Two civilians were killed and 15 others were injured when a parked car bomb detonated in a commercial street in Yousifiyah area south of Baghdad around 1 p.m.

Anbar

Around 11 a.m. a roadside bomb detonated in downtown Fallujah city targeting the vehicle of a captain in the affairs office of the ministry of interior affairs killing his driver and wounding a policeman. The officer was not in the car.

Kirkuk

Gunmen in south Kirkuk killed on Thursday morning an officer in the Iraqi army called Saddam Hussein.

Nineveh

On Thursday evening, gunmen killed a civilian in Tammoz neighborhood in west Mosul.

Three Iraqi soldiers were wounded by a roadside bomb that targeted their patrol in alEqtisadiyen neighborhood in west Mosul on Thursday evening

Salahuddin

A roadside bomb detonated in downtown Tikrit on Thursday evening injuring one policeman.
