The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Abu Nawas Street, Karrada in central Baghdad at 8.30 a.m. Wednesday injuring five civilians.

Diyala

Iraqi Police found six unidentified bodies in Azraq al Kshkool village, 45 km to the east of Baquba Wednesday. The bodies were found in several locations, all had evidence of several gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

Nineveh

Armed confrontations broke out between insurgents and a police patrol in Ghazi Street, central Mosul at noon Wednesday. One civilian was injured.
