Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Thursday 11 June 2009

The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A civilian was killed and four others were injured by a roadside bomb that targeted a US convoy in Shaab neighborhood in north Baghdad around 8 a.m. No American casualties were reported.

Three civilians were injured when an adhesive bomb attached to a car detonated in Mansour neighborhood in west Baghdad around 12 p.m.

Four civilians were injured by a roadside bomb near Mustanisiriyah University in Waziriyah neighborhood in east Baghdad around 12 p.m.

Nineveh

A policeman was killed and five people including a policeman were injured when a roadside bomb detonated in New Mosul area south Mosul city around 8 a.m.

Salahuddin

A boy and his sister died when an anti crafts rocket detonated in their house in Biji city north of Tikrit on Thursday morning. The rocket was hidden by their father in the house.

Iraqi police found a body of a young boy in north Tikrit on Thursday afternoon.
