A 30-year-old woman from the Bowling Green area has been hospitalized in Georgia with swine flu, Kentucky health officials confirmed Thursday.

According to Gwenda Bond, a spokeswoman for the Kentucky Department of Public Health, the woman traveled to Mexico recently, returned to Kentucky for a few days and then traveled to Georgia, where she apparently developed symptoms.

Health officials in Warren County are following up on the woman's, Bond said. The case was confirmed Thursday by the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
