A roadside bomb planted in a residential plot of land in Tapa district, Khanaqeen exploded Friday evening killing two young men.


A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi Army patrol in al Wihda neighbourhood, southeastern Mosul Friday killing one Iraqi soldier and injuring one woman who was in the vicinity.

A roadside bomb planted on the Sinjar – Baaj route 120 km to the northwest of Mosul exploded Friday targeting a car carrying the son of Sheikh Medlool al Mutlag, one of the tribal sheikhs of Shammar tribe, one of the biggest tribes in Iraq. The sheikh's son was killed in the explosion.


- Two roadside bombs targeted a police patrol on the main road that connects Kirkuk with Baghdad around noon. Five policemen were wounded.
