Cigarette butts, bottles, pull tabs, syringes, condoms, dead animals.

These aren't leftovers from the sleazy neighbor's wee-hours wingding. They are a sampling of the items collected in a single day from Florida's beaches.

Florida, which trades on sparkling sand and surf, finished with the third-highest weight of trash -- more than 204 tons -- in a 2008 coastline cleanup sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy. On Tuesday, the environmental group released the dirty details of its 23rd international effort, the largest of its kind.
