Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Wednesday 24 December 2008

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.


- A roadside bomb detonated in Jisr Diyala (southeast Baghdad) targeting a police patrol around 1 p.m. Six policemen were injured with their vehicle was damaged.

- A roadside bomb detonated in Yarmouk neighborhood (west Baghdad) near a house belongs to a displaced family around 9 p.m. Two people were injured ( the house’s guard and his daughter).
