This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.
Baghdad
The chief police of al Abayachi police station Lieutenant Colonel Ismail Faisal, his wife, his deputy Major Arkan and two others policemen were killed by a roadside bomb that targeted their vehicle in north Baghdad around 10 a.m.
Kirkuk
- Police found a body of an old man who was stabbed to death. The body was found behind a school in downtown Kirkuk city on Tuesday morning.
- Gunmen kidnapped an owner of a liquor store from al Khadhraa neighborhood in downtown Kirkuk city on Monday evening.
