The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

Two mortar rounds fell close to the police station in al-Shaab neighbourhood, northern Baghdad at 6 a.m. Tuesday injuring six civilians.

Two roadside bombs targeted civilians in Palestine Street, northeastern Baghdad at 7 a.m. killing two and injuring seventeen others.

A roadside bomb targeted a government vehicle near al-Khayam building in Bab al-Sharji, central Baghdad at 10 a.m. injuring the driver of the vehicle and five other civilians.

A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in Zafaraniyah, southeast Baghdad at noon, Tuesday injuring six people including three policemen.

Nineveh

A parked car bomb targeted the Department of Youth and Sports in Dawasa neighbourhood, downtown Mosul injuring fifteen civilians including twelve employees of said department.

Dohuk

Turkish air force and artillery bombarded the villages on the strip near the Turkish border in Amidi district late Monday and early Tuesday. No casualties were reported.
