MIAMI _ Saturday is the sixth day of early voting in Miami-Dade and Broward counties -- and long lines continued on Saturday morning.

One reason: Voting hours are limited to a total of eight hours on Saturday and Sunday compared to eight hours each weekday.

"We expect a busy day today,'' said Marie Bertot, a Miami-Dade County spokeswoman. "People are waiting in line patiently, patriotically."

The wait times at polling places in Miami-Dade on Saturday morning ranged from about 30 minutes to two hours, with the longest projected time about three hours.

In Broward, the lines were expected to be longer -- with an estimate of five hours at Miramar City Hall. Officials encouraged people to go to other nearby sites, where waits were shorter.
