Round-up of Daily Violence - Wednesday 01 October 2008

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 12:30 pm a roadside bomb detonated near a mosque (Mohammed Rasool Allah) in Jihad neighborhood. Four people were injured.

Diyala

- In the early morning there were clashes between the emergency police and gunmen in Tahaniyah village of Mandli ( about 52 miles east of Baquba). Two gunmen were killed and three others were arrested. From their side police had four policemen injured.
