The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- A roadside bomb exploded in Al Muthafar square in Sadr city around 10 a.m., injuring two civilians.

- A parked truck bomb exploded in Dora neighborhood around 3 p.m., killing one civilian and injuring three others.

- Police found one dead body in Al Talbiyah neighborhood in Baghdad.

Diyala

- Gunmen killed tribal sheikh Rokan Al Kayali and his infant son in their house near Al Khalis district north of Baquba at 2:30 a.m.

- Gunmen killed five citizens, including one woman, and injured four others in a drive-by-shooting in Saadiyah town all from one family and members of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

Nineveh

- A parked car bomb exploded in central Mosul killing one civilian and injuring five others.
