Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Friday 29 August 2008

The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.


Around 11:00 a.m. a Roadside bomb exploded in al Yarmouk neighborhood in west Baghdad. No casualties were reported.

A civilian was killed and another one injured by an adhesive bomb that was attached to their car in Mansour neighborhood in west Baghdad around 6:00 p.m.

Police found two unidentified bodies in Baghdad. The first body was found in Husseiniyah while the second body was found in Zafaraniyah.
