Round-up of Daily Violence - Friday 13 June 2008

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.


- A roadside bomb detonated a pickup truck in Yusufiyah (south of Baghdad). One person was killed and three others were wounded.

- A roadside bomb targeted an American patrol in Dora neighborhood. No casualties were reported.

- Police found two dead bodies in Baghdad: one in Jisr Diyala in Rusafa bank (east Baghdad) and one in Saidiyah in Karkh bank (southwest Baghdad).


- Gunmen opened fire on the man in charge of Sahwa , the militia supported by the American army to keep peace and order in Uthaim .Ahmed Tu'ma was on the way between Kafri and Tuz Khurmatu (south of Kirkuk) with two guards. He was killed with his two companions .

- A roadside bomb detonated at a policeman's house in Baiji (west of Kirkuk) . The policeman was injured.
