The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Diyala

- Around 7am, mortars hit Jalwla town (37 miles northeast of Baquba) nearby an Iraqi check point .Three women were killed and two men were injured in that attack,Baquba police said. While Asayash security forces in Jalwla said “ Three women were killed and two men were injured during a clash took place between the Iraqi army and gunmen when a unit of the Iraqi army tried to search and raid that area and the gunmen started shooting at Thursday’s midnight.

- Friday morning, a roadside bomb targeted a civilian car at Buhrz (4 miles south of Baquba).One person was killed.

- Around 8am, gunmen killed a Sahwa member at Hibhib village (9 miles north of Baquba).

Basra

- Gunmen killed on Friday colonel Ali Kadhim Salman , a police officer of Babil, near his house at Al-Deir town (30 miles north of Basra).Police arrested one of his killers an hour later of the incident.
