Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq-Friday 7 March 2008

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.


- A roadside bomb targeted an American military convoy in Dora, Iraqi police said. No casualties were reported.

- Police found three unidentified bodies throughout Baghdad: one in Al Khadhraa, one in Tobchi, and one in Ur neighborhood.


- Around 9 a.m. a roadside bomb targeted civilians in Mosul causing no casualties, a second bomb targeted police units that responded and the civilians who gathered, killing one policeman and 14 people (civilians and policemen).

- A parked car bomb targeted Al Waqas police station in Mosul, killing 4 police officers and injuring 33 among them civilians.
