Army to prosecute case of slain Fort Lewis soldiers

The U.S. Army has decided to prosecute a Fort Lewis soldier suspected in killing two fellow soldiers in their home last weekend.

The Army took custody of Ivette Davila, 22, and transferred her to the detention center at Bangor Naval Submarine Base outside Bremerton, Wash., until her court-martial is completed.

Davila is accused of shooting Randi Miller and her husband, Timothy Miller, both stationed at Fort Lewis, and of kidnapping their 6-month-old daughter. If convicted should could be sentenced to death.
