The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClachy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around noon, a parked car bomb targeted civilians at Al Urouba square in Al Kadhemiya. 6 civilians were killed and 30 were injured.

- Police found 10 dead bodies throughout Baghdad.

1 in Sadr, 2 in Ur, 1 in Saidiyah, 2 in Amil, 1 in Bayaa, 1 in Jihad, 1 in Jamiaa, 1 in Hurriyah.

Kirkuk

- Gunmen killed citizen Joseph Abed Ibraheem in Al Qadisiyah 2nd area in Kirkuk yesterday.

- Gunmen kidnapped an Iraqi army soldier in Kirkuk yesterday.

- Around 10 p.m. yesterday, gunmen opened their machine guns fire and injured an Iraqi army soldier in Al Hawija, west of Kirkuk.
