Robert S. Boyd, who writes about science and technology, has worked at the Washington Bureau for more than 40 years, 20 of them as bureau chief, writing about politics and government. He shared a Pulitzer Prize with Clark Hoyt for revealing mental illness in the background of Democratic vice presidential candidate Sen. Thomas Eagleton.
