1 in 4 Hispanic adults lack a regular doctor

Wichita family practice physician Antonio Osio has worked for more than 30 years to combat what he calls a serious problem with Hispanics and health care: Many don't go to the doctor, Osio says, "until they have a crisis."
"And then... it becomes a very costly crisis," said Osio, who is bilingual and whose patient load is more than one-third Hispanic.
A Pew Hispanic Center report released today found that more than one-fourth of Hispanic adults in the U.S. lack a regular health care provider.
