David Goldstein writes for The Kansas City Star and The Wichita Eagle. He has covered Washington and national politics since 1995. He was government and politics editor in Kansas City before that, and has also worked on newspapers in Pennsylvania. He has covered several presidential campaigns and exposed problems related to the health of troops sent to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Among his reporting awards was the National Press Clubs Washington Correspondence Award in 2001 for a story about the link between legislation and campaign contributions. He is a graduate of George Washington University.
