Crystal D. Davis is responsible for the bureau’s night operations and oversees coverage of science news and good-news enterprise features. Before joining the bureau, she worked at The Washington Post as a copy editor and layout editor.
She has spent five years with Knight Ridder, first as an assistant business news editor for Knight Ridder Tribune and later as a copy editor at the Detroit Free Press, where she also did a stint as the Travel editor. She also has worked at Roll Call and the Roanoke Times and was a copy editing fellow for the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund and for the National Association of Black Journalists. She is a graduate of Howard University.
